CODE OF CONDUCT

The following rules are intended to provide a safe, team oriented, atmosphere for you and those around you so that everyone’s experience is a safe and enjoyable one.  Failure in doing so, will lead to your dismissal from The STRIKE ZONE.  Thank you. Let’s play some ball and TRAIN LIKE A CHAMPION TODAY!     
 

• ALL visitors must complete a one-time registration waiver, membership and agreement policy prior to using cages.   
• The cage facility is under video surveillance.
• First time batting cage users must undergo a brief equipment orientation with one of our team members.   
• We are a team-oriented facility, NO poor sportsmanship or inappropriate language will be permitted. Any visitors and/or members that are minors must be accompanied by an adult. ADULTS MUST BE PRESENT AT ALL TIMES IN THE FACILITY FOR      MINORS. This is not a daycare.
• Adults are responsible for the actions of their batters in the batting cages and facility.  Intentional damage to the equipment or facilities will be billed to members and may result in possible suspension.
• NO opened toe shoes or cleats/spikes permitted. Sneakers or turf shoes only.   
• Only one athlete and a coach are permitted in the cages at a time when a Hack Attack is active. Other athletes must      wait outside the netted area.
• Only 3 players are permitted in the cage during live BPs. A pitcher, catcher and hitter. On deck batters must remain outside of the cages.
• Cages can be used for team activities with tees and soft toss.
• Spectators and those not batting or operating pitching machines must stand outside of the netted area. Coaches or trained parents pitching or operating the pitching machine operators must stand behind the safety net/screen.
• Parents are not allowed to operate the pitching machine without Strike Zone certification. Email info@eriestrikezone.com to      schedule certification.
• Cage door(s) must be closed at all times while a batter is hitting.   
• Batters must wear batting helmets at all times while in the batting cage.   
• The only people swinging a bat are those inside the cage.   
• No swinging bats outside of the cage.   
• DO NOT stand in front of the pitching machine or on home plate.  
• Please keep hands away from, and do not climb on,  safety fencing and netting around the cages. 
• No food or beverages are permitted in the turf area. This must be kept in the waiting area. 
• All coaches and private instructors must have USA BASE Compliance and a background check.
• All teams or organizations must have a valid certificate of insurance on file.
• No gum, sunflower seeds or chewing tobacco inside the facility including the waiting area.  
• No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol is  permitted inside The STRIKE ZONE Facility. 
• Smoking and tobacco products are not permitted in the STRIKE ZONE facility.
• The Strike Zone Academy provides all baseballs and softballs. There is no need to bring your own in. 
• Please ensure you clean your cage and return our balls to where you found them. Clean up charges to members will be enforced.
• RESPECT THE FACILITY AND TAKE PRIDE IN KEEPING YOUR HOME FOR TRAINING CLEAN AND NEAT!
